Wow
I think it’s been two weeks since I’ve written a review and I am so ashamed :(
But in all honesty it has been a hectic two weeks ,with my full time job and my
housewife duties I’ve neglected my Makeup Candy duties but no more, I am back
and with a new review. With that being said let’s get started.
A
few weeks ago I was in Ulta ( as usual with all my reviews) buying a lipgloss
and I ended up buying lipgloss, foundation, brushes and glitter eyeshadows. Hey
when your a makeup addict these things tend to happen and there is no point in
taking that first step in admitting it because it will just keep on happening .
So the foundation I purchased was NYX HD PHOTOGENIC FOUNDATION .
Now having recently created an obsession with this brand I was really excited about trying this foundation . I am sad to say that I am a little disappointed with the results. Coverage is amazing at first , the skin looks flawless and I hardly have to use concealer , but literally an hour after application the foundation is wearing off.
If you want this foundation to last and have the HD look all day be prepared to carry the foundation bottle around with you for re-application throughout the day. Being a working woman that just doesn’t cut it for me.The finish is matte so you don’t have to powder but I found that this foundation causes me to break out a little, a feature that I runaway from as much as I can.In other words even though it’s matte it does feel oily on the skin.
Color wise it is lighter then my skin tone but not too much, the color I bought was Soft Beige.I truly recommend that if you can you swatch this product in the store before you buy it to get the exact color match. Sadly this does not come in a wide range of colors, it will suite most skin tones. In conclusion I wouldn’t recommend this product, NYX has a good idea with this foundation but it needs a little work.
